A DIAMOND DAY: I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made the celebration of my Diamond Jubilee of Ordination, Saturday 7 July, a truly memorable occasion. Together with my family I wish to express my gratitude to all of you for your cards, gifts and above all your presence on the day. I formally thanked a number of people at the  Reception. DIAMOND JUBILEE OF ORDINATION: Fr Kevin Callaghan C.Ss.R. will celebrate a Diamond Jubilee Mass at 12.00 noon on Saturday 7 July. He would be delighted if you would join him, with family and friends, and take some light refreshment in the Fisher-More Hall afterwards.

Monday 28th May is a Bank Holiday, there will be no 7am Mass just a 12 midday Mass. 

Pentecost Novena

Archbishop McMahon has asked parishioners to make a Novena of prayer between Ascension and Pentecost. The intention is to pray for the Eucharistic Congress in Liverpool this Sept and for the Synod 2020. Those sick at home may especially like to pray the novena.

70 Years Of The NHS: This is an invitation to attend the Annual Service which this year celebrates 70 years of the NHS. It will take place on Wednesday 2 May at 6.00pm at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ The King. See poster in porch for more details.

Food for thought

FEASTS: Thursday is the Feast of St Clement Hofbauer, always regarded as the second founder of the Redemptorists because he took the Congregation out of Italy and into northern Europe, from where we spread throughout the world. Saturday is of course the Feast of St Patrick.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesdays throughout Lent. There is a sheet in the porch for those able to cover the various half hourly slots to sign up.
