A PRAYER FOR PEACE FROM POPE LEO

Please join the Pope in praying for peace

"Lord Jesus,

You conquered death without weapons or violence:

You shattered its power with the strength of peace.

Grant us Your peace,

as You did to the women filled with doubt on Easter morning,

as You did to the disciples who were hiding in fear.

Send forth Your Spirit,

the breath that gives life and reconciles,

that turns adversaries and enemies into brothers and sisters.

Inspire in us to trust in Mary, Your mother,

who stood at the foot of Your cross with a broken heart,

firm in the faith that You would rise again.

May the madness of war cease

and the Earth be cared for and cultivated by those who still

know how to bring forth, protect and love life.

Hear us, Lord of life!”

ST.GerardLogoJUBILEE PRAYER

ETERNAL FATHER, we praise and thank you for the life of Saint Gerard Majella, born 300 years ago to be a light and a sign of hope in the Church and in the world.

JESUS, OUR REDEEMER, we desire to follow you, inspired by the example of Saint Gerard Majella, embracing the cross of each day with love and humility in service to the most abandoned, especially the poor.

HOLY SPIRIT, enlighten our minds and hearts to discern and fulfill the will of God with joy. Teach us to be brothers and sisters, and, with Saint Gerard, to promote fraternity and peace.

MARY, Mother of Perpetual Help, you who dwell in the communion of saints with Saint Gerard, pray for the Redemptorist missionaries, that they may persevere in their vocation and mission. Bless families and awaken in the hearts of young people the desire to follow Jesus in consecrated religious life. Amen.

PAPAL PRAYER VIDEO MARCH 2026

In his prayer intention for March, Pope Leo invites us to pray that nations lay down their weapons, adopt diplomacy and justice, and seek true security founded on trust and solidarity among peoples.

POPE LEO’S PRAYER TO ST. FRANCIS

 A TIMELESS INTERCESSOR FOR PEACE:

During this Jubilee Year of St Francis of Assisi, Pope Leo asks us to pray to St Francis using the following prayer:

St Francis, our brother, you who eight hundred years ago went to meet Sister Death as a man at peace, intercede for us before the Lord. You recognised true peace in the Crucifix of San Damiano, teach us to seek in Hm the source of all reconciliation that breaks down every wall. You who, unarmed, crossed the lines of war and misunderstanding, give us the courage to build bridges where the world raises boundaries. In this time afflicted by conflict and division, intercede for us so that we may become peacemakers: unarmed and disarming witnesses of the peace that comes from Christ.’ Amen
