THE NEW LECTIONARY:

I think most of you know that from the First Sunday of Advent (1 December) we will be using a new translation of the Scriptures in the liturgy: The English Standard Version. Accordingly, we have ordered a new set of lectionaries for both parishes and, if you have missals, they will be obsolete from that date. Redemptorist Publications are producing a new Sunday Missal (retailing at £19.95) and we can make these available, but it will be helpful if we can have some idea of the likely take up, so that we can order accordingly. Therefore, I will be grateful if you can fill in the order sheets at the back of the churches over the coming two weekends. If there is a large response, we will probably be able to obtain a good discount and thereby reduce the cost for you.
