Allerton Country Walk
Liverpool City Council has created the Allerton Country Walk, which takes in much of our two Parishes.
The Walk is approximately 7 miles (2 to 3 hours) through the diverse parks, woodlands, open spaces and public footpaths of our leafy South Liverpool home.
The Walk takes in England’s Tree of the Year 2019, the Mansion House and the Neolithic Calderstones, a botanical garden, a lake, a golf course, a brand new childrens’ play area, a pub in a park, hill-top views, two walled gardens, ancient woodland and much more.
Details of the walk can be found at https://liverpool.gov.uk/media/1356369/allerton-walksb-web-version.pdf
Copyright restrictions mean that the illustrated map cannot be shown here, so we are limited to the unsophisticated version below.
For the folks who target a certain number of steps each day, this walk would require approximately 14,000 steps ….. what a great way of celebrating God’s wonderous creation!
