LIVESIMPLY MESSAGE 18.1.26
We aim to live more simply, sustainably and in solidarity with others
Today is Peace Sunday.
During his first Christmas address to crowds in St Peter’s Square, Pope Leo called for an end to conflicts around the world. Using his Urbi et Orbi address, he spoke of conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, Thailand and Cambodia. "From God, let us ask for justice, peace and stability for Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Syria," he said.
His message speaks of how we must listen to the ‘pleas of an endangered humanity’. The year of Jubilee inspired us to seek the liberating justice of God in our world and how by opening our hearts to our brothers and sisters, we will restore God’s justice on earth and move forward to achieve the goal of peace.
