We care about creation and we care about people living in poverty
This weekend we celebrate World Earth Day 2023. One of the main focusses this year is the fashion industry, or more specifically our support for ‘fast fashion’ where garments are designed to be worn but quickly discarded. The industry is responsible for 10% of all carbon emissions worldwide, while less than 1% all of garments are ever recycled.
What can we do?
- Support the LiveSimply Nearly New Fashion Show at St Mary’s next Saturday.
- Take a bag of surplus clothes to Nugent, or to another charity shop, this week
