SOLEMNITY OF THE ANNUNCIATION:
Wednesday is our Patronal Feast and Fr Andrew will lead the lunchtime celebration. Occasionally, if Easter is very early, this Feast is postponed until after Easter when it is easier to make more of the occasion. And, indeed, this year it is further complicated for me by virtue of the fact that St Julie’s School is celebrating its 150th Anniversary with a Mass at the Cathedral and then in the evening, the Archbishop will again be in action across the road at Hope University, baptising our catechumen student, Maeve at 7.00pm. So, please pray for our parish, for all the catechumens and candidates who have taken part in this year’s Journey in Faith and for St Julie’s School. It is just good to know that there is so much for which to give thanks to God. At the same time we will always be faced with coping with the sadness of suffering and death and the recent loss of a young teacher at St Julie’s also calls for our prayers at this time.
