SPECIAL EVENTS:

We are enjoying a series of special events at present. Last Wednesday evening Fr Peter McGrail was inducted by Archbishop John as parish priest of Halewood and Woolton at St Mary’s. Fr Peter Murphy who will assist him and live at St Mary’s guided us through the moving celebration. It was a delight to be at St Mary’s and not have to worry about anything! The following day most of the archdiocesan clergy celebrated the gift of the priesthood at a specially arranged Mass at the Margaret Clitherow Centre. The jubilarians this year were then specially honoured at the meal afterwards. And, of course, on Friday evening at the Cathedral we gave thanks for Archbishop Malcolm’s eleven years of service to the Archdiocese.
