FAIRTRADE COFFEE MORNING AT BISHOP ETON
As part of our LiveSimply programme we have recently been raising awareness of Fairtrade and Fairtrade Fortnight, including Fairtrade-themed coffee mornings at both Parishes on the two Sundays within Fairtrade Fortnight.
We created a handout entitled Fairtrade, some facts which we shared with parishioners at all Masses on the relevant Sunday. For the 10:00 Mass on Sunday 5 March at Bishop Eton, we attached a tombola ticket.

The (pictured) coffee morning in the Fisher More Hall after that 10:00 Mass attracted 40 parishioners hoping to match up their tombola ticket with the Fairtrade products on offer.

The coffee morning raised £70 in donations for CAFOD.
The key messages are: Buying Fairtrade products support both farmers, and sustainable farming, in low income countries. The more we choose Fairtrade products, the more our local supermarkets will stock them.
If you didn't pick up a copy of the handout, click here for a copy.
Next time you are in the Fisher-More Hall take a look at our notice board which we will be updating regularly.
