CREATION WALK 2022

Fr Casey - and the walkers
Saturday 1st October, was a gloriously sunny autumn day, and most fitting for the LiveSimply "Care for Creation Walk" between Bishop Eton to St Mary's.
We started with a short reflection in the Monastery garden at Bishop Eton. Our patron, Fr Jim Casey, urged us to "listen to the sound of Creation."
Then our walk of 2 miles took in stops at Black Woods, SFX school and Reynolds Park to reflect and listen. We were reminded that the beauty of Creation is indeed all around us in leafy South Liverpool.
A warm welcome of tea, coffee and home-made cakes was waiting for us when we arrived at St Mary's parish hall. Here we heard about CAFOD's "Fix the Food System" before a final prayer from Fr Tim.
All in all, a most enjoyable and rewarding way to "live sustainably with Creation."
