Allerton Farmers Market Stall

Saturday 7th December

Things are now falling into place for the CTMH Market stall. 

There will be displays for 

    • ·Christmas Cards,  
    • ·The Hope Christmas Magazine,
    • ·Christmas Angels and
    • ·a Children’s Booklet with the Christmas Story produced by The Bible Society and Hope.

There will also hopefully be leaflets from individual churches, promoting Christmas events,  General Information and social/community projects. If you represent any community project who would like some promotion on the stall please email  . A4 Poster and handouts can be displayed

St Nicholas Anglican Church and the Methodist Partnership in Halewood have generously donated 40 Christmas Angels, but we would welcome more.   If you can knit, sew or crochet one or more  in the next couple of weeks it would be greatly appreciated. Patterns are available at the following links

RADS Dramatic Society present  "Subject to Contract" - Allerton URC

Thursday to Saturday at 7.30 pm and Sunday at 2.30 pm. A Comedy Thriller Written and directed by popular local playwright Nick Broadhead. Admission £8, concessions £7 and children £4

Saturday 16th November

St Barnabas Christmas Craft Festival  - 12 noon till 4.00pm 


WINE TASTING & SOCIAL EVENING – Mossley Hill Parish Church 7pm

The wine tasting evening will be conducted by wine expert and merchant Mike Gould, who runs his own specialist wine and spirits business in Lancashire.  The wines Mike brings are those not found on the High Street. Those taking part will be seated at tables with wine and water glasses along with nibbles. There will be cheeses etc also provided during the evening. 

Mike will explain about each wine before giving us a taste and there will be red, white, rose and non alcoholic wines, plus gins and whiskies to try! 

Admission is by ticket only.

Tickets cost £15 of which £5 goes to Mossley Hills organ fund. Contact  to reserve your tickets. 


Tuesday 19th November


Every Tuesday at St Barnabas 10.30am - Noon

St Barnabas Church host a Lodge Lane Credit Union drop in service in church.  A full range of Credit Union services is available.

There is also a drop-in support service, run by the Riverside Housing Floating Support Team which promotes the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable people in Liverpool.   Advice on matters such as, budgeting, debt management, accessing benefits and finding/sustaining accommodation is available.

Tea and coffee is available between 10.30am and noon.  


Talk on MODERN SLAVERY:  Council for Christians and Jews 8.00pm

Following the AGM of the Merseyside Council for Christians and Jews the Venerable Jenny McKenzie  Archdeacon of Wigan & West Lancashire will speak on ‘Modern Slavery’   She came to the Liverpool Diocese from Virginia, USA and is keenly interested in social welfare & conflict resolution, as well as being an advocate for improved services for those living with mental illness.

All are welcome to attend the CCJ AGM at 7.30pm or just come to the talk at 8pm at Liverpool Reform Synagogue 28 Church Road North, Liverpool L5 6TF By Junction with Hunters Lane.

Wednesday  20th November

LUNCH CLUB – Elm Hall Drive Methodist – Noon – 1.45pm

A warm welcome to anyone who would like to join this happy group. 

Meeting each Wednesday at Elm Hall Drive Church for a freshly cooked two course meal, followed by tea and cake, for £3.

South Liverpool Linking Lives - Over 60’s Group Mossley Hill Parish Church 2pm – 3.30pm

South Liverpool Linking Lives run a free group for anyone over 60 every Wednesday from 2-3.30pm at Mossley Hill Church, offering a mixture of activities (quizzes, board games, chair exercises etc) as well as time for chat and refreshments.
