Allerton Farmers Market Stall Saturday 7th December
The stall is an opportunity for a Christian presence in Allerton Road during Advent, and a chance to publicise the Christmas activities in our local churches. We still need two or three people staffing the stall at all times, particularly between 10.00am and 1.00pm on Saturday 7th December. If you can help please email

Tutu Centre Annual Civil Lecture - Liverpool Hope University 4pm – 5.30pm
Professor Frank Cottrell Boyce will deliver the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Centre for Peace Studies Civic Lecture on the occasion of the 175th Anniversary of Liverpool Hope University.
Professor Cottrell Boyce is a screenwriter, actor, awarded children's author and writer for the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

MOSSLEY HILL MAKERS MARKET Mossley Hill Parish Church 10.30 – 3.30pm
This will be a lovely Market inside the main Church full of local Artisans selling everything from food & drink
items, to home accessories, jewellery and gifts for all ages. The Cafe will be open providing Teas, Coﬀees and All Day Breakfast.

CTMH SOCIAL WALKING GROUP -St. Mary's and St. Cyril's Egyptian Coptic Church and Newsham Park
The Walking group have arranged a tour of the Egyptian Coptic Church, Derby Lane, Stoneycroft. It used to be an Anglican church but was sold to the Coptic Church. We anticipate an interesting tour and talk. They have offered one of their meeting-rooms for us to eat our sandwiches, After lunch, you will have the choice of either going home again, or going on to walk round nearby Newsham Park
Meet: at the 60 Bootle bus stop on Ullet Rd,(Halkyn Avenue Stop B) by twenty to 11, to catch the bus timetabled for around ten to 11.Please note this is a chang to the Meeting place originially advertised.
VINTAGE CLOTHING display and talk – WINGS St Barnabas 2pm
The ladies from WINGS, (Women in Gods service) at St Barnabas will be welcoming Sue Letheren to their monthly meeting in church commencing at 2pm and invite all to join them for this special meeting. Sue will be displaying some of her vintage clothing she has accumulated over the years and will be giving a very interesting talk regarding her collection. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

CREDIT UNION and RIVERSIDE’S FLOATING SUPPORT
Every Tuesday at St Barnabas 10.30am - Noon
St Barnabas Church host a Lodge Lane Credit Union drop in service in church. A full range of Credit Union services is available.
There is also a drop-in support service, run by the Riverside Housing Floating Support Team which promotes the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable people in Liverpool. Advice on matters such as, budgeting, debt management, accessing benefits and finding/sustaining accommodation is available.
Tea and coffee is available between 10.30am and noon.

Meeting each Wednesday at Elm Hall Drive Church for a freshly cooked two course meal, followed by tea and cake, for £3.

South Liverpool Linking Lives run a free group for anyone over 60 every Wednesday from 2-3.30pm at Mossley Hill Church, offering a mixture of activities (quizzes, board games, chair exercises etc) as well as time for chat and refreshments. St Barnabas Christmas Craft Festival - 12 noon till 4.00pm
WINE TASTING & SOCIAL EVENING – Mossley Hill Parish Church 7pm
The wine tasting evening will be conducted by wine expert and merchant Mike Gould, who runs his own specialist wine and spirits business in Lancashire. The wines Mike brings are those not found on the High Street. Those taking part will be seated at tables with wine and water glasses along with nibbles. There will be cheeses etc also provided during the evening.
Mike will explain about each wine before giving us a taste and there will be red, white, rose and non alcoholic wines, plus gins and whiskies to try!
Admission is by ticket only.

ELM HALL DRIVE DEFIBRILLATOR FUND
Elm Hall Drive are raising funds for a Defibrillator to be located externally serving the Penny Lane and Smithdown Road area. They have already raised over £1,000 of the £1,800 required, including a donation from the Mayoral neighbourhood Fund of Liverpool City Council and are seeking further donations from local people and businesses to reach the required amount and provide a defibrillator.
