Friday May 3rd

THE COFFEE STOP   Every Friday at Elm Hall Drive Methodist  10:30 – Noon

Meet for coffee and a chat with friends

Open Doors Coffee Morning  for Christian Aid 

Allerton United Reformed Church – 10.30 to 12 Noon

As well as the usual tea and coffee, there will be home-made cakes; books; a table sale including jewellery; a raffle and nearly-new clothing (women's, men's and children's - many unworn with labels). FREE admission. All donations and sales proceeds to CHRISTIAN AID.   

Saturday May 4nd to Monday May 13th

An exhibition marking the 75th Anniversary of the destruction of the “Gypsy” Camp in Auschwitz. – Liverpool Cathedral

This exhibition collated by Eve Rosenhaft, Professor of German Historical Studies at Liverpool University details the story of This exhibition tells the story of Roma and Sinti people families from Germany, their suffering and survival.  It forms part of the ‘Writing on the Wall’ Festival in Liverpool this May.

The exhibition is a collaboration between the University of Liverpool and the Alternatives Jugendzentrum Dessau. The exhibition is free and open daily, with the kind permission of the Dean and Chapter.


Tuesday 7th May


Every Tuesday at St Barnabas 10.30am - Noon

St Barnabas Church host a Lodge Lane Credit Union drop-in service in the church.  A full range of Credit Union services is available.

There is also a drop-in support service, run by the Riverside Housing Floating Support Team which promotes the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable people in Liverpool.   Advice on matters such as, budgeting, debt management, accessing benefits and finding/sustaining accommodation is available.

Tea and coffee is available between 10.30am and noon.

Wednesday 8th May

LUNCH CLUB – Elm Hall Drive Methodist – Noon – 1.45pm

We extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join our happy group. 

We meet each Wednesday at Elm Hall Drive Church for a freshly cooked two-course meal, followed by tea and cake, for £3.

Friends can, of course, sit together - but we would want to get to know you too!

Wednesday 8th – Saturday 11th May 

            “It Runs in the Family” – Allerton URC -  7.30pm

“ Reformed Allerton Dramatic Society are pleased to announce their forthcoming production  of “ It Runs in the Family” – a Comedy/ Farce by Ray Cooney on Wednesday through to Saturday, 8-11 May 2019 in the Main Hall at Allerton URC, Mather/ Booker Avenue  commencing at 7.30 pm on each evening (doors open 7pm)

Tickets priced at £7, £6 concessions and £3 children are available on rehearsal evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays or will be available on the door on the evenings of the performances.   
An amusing evening is hopefully in store! Please come and enjoy” 

Thursday 9th May

St Matthew & St James Church Open Day  10.00am – 4.00pm

The Church will be open from 10.00 to 4.00pm. There will be 4 tours with Rev. Alan Kennedy at 10.30, 12.00, 1.30 and 3.00pm and Colin Porter will play a short recital at 3.45pm. The coffee bar will be open for cakes and scones. Please share with others this opportunity to enjoy our magnificent church.

TODDLER GROUP  All Hallows: 9:30am

A new Toddler Group meeting in the All Hallows Centre, small hall, come along for fun, games, singing, art, refreshments and more… no need to book, we look forward to seeing you there!  Refreshment help required, if don’t have a toddler but want to be part of this ministry we’d like to have a rota of people to prepare the refreshments for the children and adults each week.  Please contact Nicola This email address is being protected from spambots. Monday 13th May 

       An Afternoon with DAME LORNA MUIRHEAD – St Barnabas – 2.00pm

The ladies of WINGS (Women in God's Service) will be welcoming Dame Lorna Muirhead, ex-midwife and former Lord Lieutenant of Liverpool to their meeting at 2 pm. All are welcome (including men). Refreshments will be available.


Moreton to New Brighton

Come and join us for some sea breezes as we walk from Moreton to New Brighton with a break at Leasowe Lighthouse.


Tuesday 21st May 

       The Daniel Project, Liverpool Reform Synagogue  7.30pm

The Daniel Project is an investigative documentary film. The 66 books of the Judeo-Christian Bible claim to record over 300 prophecies that reveal an astonishing panorama of future events that mankind will face. This documentary examines these claims.

Take your own journey, along with presenter Jeremy Hitchen, as he looks into these thoughts provoking prophecies.  This 2010 Documentary by Studio Scotland has been broadcast widely.  (contains images of warfare and holocaust. Certificate 12)
