Opera Viva - Mossley Hill Parish Church 7.30 pm

Opera Viva will be presenting La Traviata, Verdi’s colourful story of Love and Betrayal in Parisian High Society. Alfredo, young and idealistic, falls deeply in love with Violetta, the high-class courtesan who seeks pleasure as a way to forget the crippling illness that is shortening her life.  For a time she finds true happiness with her new love but is forced to sacrifice herself to protect him.  We bring real opera to you, and sing to English in small local venues, so you can experience the full power and emotional impact of some of Music’s most powerful stories.

Our productions are fully staged and costumed with talented soloists and chorus members.  Come and enjoy one of opera’s greatest stories – Verdi’s “La Traviata” – conducted by our exciting young Musical Director, Melvin Tay.
