Come and join us for an open house evening of gratitude to acknowledge the work that has gone on over the past year to refurbish our Church Sanctuary.

This will be a festive reception of music, poetry and video clips with a time to give thanks and bless each other. Refreshments will be provided.

Christian Aid Circle the City 2018 Sponsored Walk.

Departing All Hallows church 9.45 am (registration from 9.15) taking in 10 km around South Liverpool finishing at Allerton URC from 1.00 pm onward, where light refreshments will be served and sponsor forms verified. Tuesday 2nd October


Every Tuesday at St Barnabas 10.30am - Noon

St Barnabas Church host a Lodge Lane Credit Union drop-in service in the church.  A full range of Credit Union services is available.

Also, Liverpool City Council has commissioned a drop-in support service, which is run by the Riverside Housing Floating Support Team and promotes the well-being and independence of vulnerable people in Liverpool.   Advice on matters such as, budgeting, debt management, accessing benefits and finding/sustaining accommodation is available.

Tea and coffee is available between 10.30am and noon.

Wednesday 3rd October

LUNCH CLUB – Elm Hall Drive Methodist – Noon – 1.45pm

We would like to extend an invitation and warm welcome to anyone who would like to join our happy group.  Currently, there are about 20 diners, ladies and gentlemen - but we can cater for up to 50!

We meet each Wednesday at Elm Hall Drive Church for a freshly cooked two-course meal, followed by tea and cake, for £3.

Friends can, of course, sit together - but we would want to get to know you too!

Fish and Chip Supper followed by Entertainment by New Era Folk group. Tickets are £8 for the meal and entertainment (pre-booked tickets only available from 07761714290). Pay on the door for entertainment only £4.

Monday 15th October


Court Hey Park, with other parks along the Loop line to Halewood Park.

Broadgreen station direct, to meet the rest of us when we arrive. We will walk through Court Hey Park, Childwall Park, John Alderman Gardens and Lyndene Park. After lunch in Belle Vale (either a picnic in Belle Vale Park or from a café in the Shopping Centre if you prefer), we will walk along the Loop Line to the Halewood Triangle before getting a bus back from Halewood Shopping Centre, finishing between 3 and 4 pm. There is plenty of choice for buses - 75,76, and others.

Meet: at Lime Street (mainline) station at 10.35, ready to catch the 10.45 to Broadgreen station, Or if it is more convenient for you, go to Broadgreen station direct, to meet the rest of us at 10.55.

Grading: easy about 4 miles.

Bring: Travel Pass, Saveaway or Walrus Card,  packed lunch,  suitable clothing, and a mobile phone.

“Faith at the Musicals”  Bridge Chapel Liverpool 7.30pm - 9.30pm

With West End Has Faith and Tearfund at Bridge Chapel  Heath Road, Garston, Liverpool, L19 4XR; and also Saturday 27th October 2018;  All Saints Parish Church Liverpool 4 Towerlands Street, Liverpool, L7 8TT.

West End Has Faith is a group of professional singers working in musical theatre, who are Christian or interested in exploring their faith. As well as the magnificent music, they’ll be sharing their own stories and speaking about the work of Tearfund.

75th Anniversary of the Council of Christians and Jews

Liverpool Cathedral Evensong 3pm

2018 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Council for Christians and Jews. To mark this occasion Dr Joy Barrow, CCJ’s Branch Liaison Manager, will be preaching in Liverpool Cathedral at Evensong on Sunday, October 28th at 3pm. She is one of the contributors to ‘Deep Calls To Deep: Transforming Conversations Between Jews And Christians’ which was published in January.
