"This year I'm not doing a multi-day sponsored cycle, rather a one-day challenge of an ecumenical nature!
On Aug. 4th, I'm doing a 100 mile sponsored cycle on the 2012 Olympic Road Race route: the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 Sportive a few hours before the world's top professional riders race on a very similar circuit. I will be part of a team raising money for The Salvation Army (#TeamSally). In my case, I'll be riding for their mission in Rhyl, N. Wales, which is led by a musician friend of mine, Major Chris Davidson. I will be looking to complete the ride in between 6hrs-6hrs30, which for an amateur rider of my "profile" would be good going. Any donations would be very gratefully received. God bless. 🙏😇🚴♂
Here's the link for donating:
I need to raise a minimum of £350 by July 5th. Would appreciate any early donations therefore.
"The Salvation Army provide unconditional friendship, support and very practical help to people in crisis and need and work with children, older people, homeless people, all adult victims of modern slavery and those dealing with drug and/or alcohol addiction." "
