Monday & Friday Mass:

Tuesday & Thursday Mass:

Wednesday Mass:

7.00am, 12.00 noon, 7.30pm Novena

Saturday Mass:

12.00 noon, 6.30pm (vigil)

Rosary: 11.30am Monday to Saturday.

Sacrament of Reconciliation:

On Saturday from 4.00pm to 5.00pm and at call

The Repository is open today in the Fisher-More Hall from 9.30am and after the 10.00am Mass. Large stock of First Communion cards and gifts, Easter cards etc. The Parish Coffee Morning takes place after the 10.00am Mass in the Fisher-More Hall.

SVP Collection after all Masses today.

The new Offertory Envelopes will be distributed on 14th and 21st March. Please ensure you collect your box after Mass from the Hughes Meeting Room.

Season of Lent:

  • Stations of the Cross on Sunday at 3.00pm.
  • Taize Prayer for Lent. Reflection, music from the Taize community, prayer and silence each Wednesday in Lent from 7.00pm—7.20pm in the Hope Chapel.
  • From Triumph to Triumph. A series of talks and reflections on the days and liturgies of Holy Week by Archbishop Patrick Kelly to be held in the Gibberd Room at 7.30pm. See the poster in the porch.

Communion at home for the sick and housebound. Please pass on details to Fr Desmond of anyone known to you in the parish who would benefit from this provision.

Earthquake in Chile. The Redemptorist communities are safe but have sustained damage to buildings. They are in our thoughts and prayers.

The Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal throughout March. Daffodils and donation boxes are provided in the porch. 

Funeral Service for Frances Baker RIP at Springwood Crematorium at 3.15pm on Monday 8th March.

The Wednesday Lunch will be held on 10th March in the Fisher-More Hall at 12.30pm. All welcome.

Street Child Africa are holding a Ladies’, Teenagers’ and Children’s new clothes sale on Saturday 13th March in the Fisher-More Hall from 10.30am—2.00pm. All welcome. Please bring your friends.

BISHOP ETON YOUTH GROUP:

  • Meet your Mates next Sunday 14th March from 7.00pm—8.30pm. 50p entrance and tuck shop available.

RYM Social on Saturday 20th March for Year 10 and above. Tickets £5 after Masses today or from the parish office. See poster for full details.

Zimbabwe Half Marathon Appeal. The Bishop Eton Half Marathoners will be appealing for sponsorship after all Masses this week and next, with all funds raised going to the Project Zimbabwe Appeal. Their training will be put to the test on Sunday 28th March. Your support will be much appreciated.

We pray for the boys and girls from Our Lady’s (Year 4) and Carleton House (Year 3) who are celebrating the Sacrament of First Forgiveness next Saturday at 1.30pm and 3.00pm.

Parish Mission at Christ the King & Our Lady from Saturday 13th March—Friday 19th March. Please see the posters in the porch.

Liverpool Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from Friday 23rd to Friday 30th July 2010. The Tour Operator is Leisure Time Travel 287 8000. Pilgrims who will need help should register with the Lourdes Pilgrimage Office 727 4000 as soon as possible. Please see poster in the porch. There will be Parish Fundraisers on 15th May for Lourdes and on 27th June for Zimbabwe.

Beginning Experience Weekend at St Joseph’s Formby from Friday 16th—Sunday 18th April.

Mrs Julie Baker would like to thank all the children and parents for their good wishes, cards and presents. Your words of support meant a lot.

Question of the Week. 1. Lent is time for us to do interior spring housecleaning. What areas of your life need it most? 2. Make a resolution for this week to forgive someone who has harmed you. Share that.

Wednesday Exposition. We continue to pray for Madeleine McCann and for all missing children throughout the world. May God protect them and return them safely to those who love them and miss them so much.
