BE Alive magazine available after all Masses today. Thank you to all who contribute.

Haiti. Because so many beautiful prizes were handed in for the raffle, there will be a Tombola and a Children’s Toy Tombola next Sunday after all the morning Masses. So please do come for a cup of tea and spend some money on the Tombolas. After this event Fr Desmond will send off the cheque for the Redemptorists in Haiti. Many sincere thanks for your generosity.

We pray for the repose of the soul of Mrs Kate Lowry whose Funeral Service will take place next Wednesday 10th February at Springwood Crematorium at 1.30pm.

No Parish Surgery but Fr Desmond is available after Sunday Morning Masses.

Baptismal Preparation Team Meeting on Tuesday 9th February in the Hughes Meeting Room at 7.15pm. Part of the meeting will be a Cheese and Wine.

Wednesday Lunch will take place on 10th February at 12.30pm in the Fisher-More Hall. All welcome.

On Wednesday 10th February Fr Desmond will be visiting Carleton House School at 7.00pm to begin the Preparation for First Holy Communion for the boys and girls of Year 3.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word. A Refresher Evening for all new and experienced catechists will be held at Christ the King on Wednesday 10th February from 7.30pm—9.00pm. For full details please see the poster in the porch.

Mass in Honour of Our Lady of Lourdes on Thursday 11th February at 7.30pm at Christ the King Church, Queens Drive. All welcome.

Pastoral Area ‘Valentine’s Charity Ball’ on Saturday 13th February from 7.00pm at Christ the King Parish Centre. Tickets £25 from Adrian or Betty 722 1418 or Will 494 9219.  See poster in the porch.

A special celebration of marriage and family life will take place at 3.00pm on Sunday 14th February, led by Archbishop Vincent Nicholls, at the start of National Marriage Week. Please come and receive this special family blessing and to pray for all who will serve the Marriage and Family Life Ministry in 2010.

BISHOP ETON YOUTH GROUP:

¨        Meet your Mates Night on Sunday 21st February at 7.00pm in the Fisher-More Hall. 50p entrance and tuck shop.

¨        Karting on Sunday 21st March at Deeside. Cost £25,  includes snack and transport. Provisional 20 places. Please send full amount to Kris in the parish office.

Lent with Ireneus. Prayer and reflection during Lent at Pauline Books and Media, Bold Street from 12.30pm–1.30pm on Tuesdays starting 23rd February.

Project Zimbabwe. The 2010 Liverpool Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 28th March. Some parishioners have expressed an interest in taking part and raising funds for Project Zimbabwe. For further details contact Andy on 07775 883 867.

Recovering and moving on after Divorce. The Pastoral Formation Department are offering a series six weekly meetings starting on Monday 15th February in the Aigburth area. 1. We are called to follow Jesus. But how does this translate into the actions, attitudes, or prayers in your everyday life?

2. Choose one of these and tell how you follow Jesus in regard to it: forgiveness, generosity, or compassion.

Wednesday Exposition. We continue to pray for Madeleine McCann and for all missing children throughout the world. May God protect them and return them safely to those who love them and miss them so much.
