BE Green Current Challenge

Current Parish challenge: (wk 8)

Today: Walk to Church Sunday (Feb):

  • Reducing the number of car journeys we each make is a key aim of BE Green 2020.
  • On the final Sunday of each month – today (23rd Feb) for Feb - throughout the year we are challenging all Parishioners who can, to walk, cycle or take public transport to Mass … and  having done so, to place a green token in the receptacle at the back of Church.

Let’s BE Fair!  To tie in with Fairtrade Fortnight 2020, which starts next week, each Parishioner is challenged to find out more about the Fairtrade Scheme and to buy / try at least one Fairtrade product. Find out more by clicking here.

(We are also actively encouraging the groups that use The Fisher-More Hall to buy / serve only Fairtrade products.)

Part of the Confirmation Scheme for 2020 is school based. If you (or your child) does not attend a Catholic school, is currently in year 8, has not been Confirmed and would like to be, please sign up for the preparation day on 29 February 2020 via Eventbrite search for ‘Animate Youth Ministries’.
